There are designated camping areas within the national park giving you plenty of time to explore and take in the wildlife and scenery.

2. Take a trip to Baudin’s Beach


Baudin’s Beach, named after famous French navigator Nicolas Baudin who explored Kangaroo Island in 1802 is a beautiful beach to spend an afternoon or two. If you have a boat you can make use of the boat ramp to head out for the day or spend a few hours fishing or you can spend some time navigating some of the clifftop walking paths that offer stunning views.


3. Visit a lighthouse or two!


Kangaroo Island is home to several impressive lighthouses, both of which were built in the 19th century, making them great day trips for the history buffs among us. Cape Willoughby Lightstation and Cape Borda Lightstation are both steeped in history and open for visits by the public.
