KIMBERLEY ADVENTURES – HOME VALLEY STATION

If you’re tossing up on whether to stay Home Valley Station, because it is only 50km from El Questro, we’re telling you now to do it! Home Valley Station has a large pool which even in winter, you will want to swim in; river camping; great fishing opportunities; and has an authentic Australian theme throughout the property. Some scenes of the film “Australia” with Hugh Jackman and Nicole Kidman were shot in this area. So, meander your way from El Questro to Home Valley, in the East Kimberley, taking in the views and drive to conditions on the dirt road.

CAMPING AT HV8

The Homestead Camp offers powered and unpowered sites, within easy access to the Bar and Grill; store; and laundry facilities. The playground and pool is incorporated close to the Station action. Head 4km away from the Homestead and camp on the banks of the Pentecost River at the River Bush Camp, with sensational views of the Cockburn Range and river. Unpowered camping only, with great barramundi fishing spots, this is a great off-grid camping experience.

There is plenty to do at Home Valley station – gorge walks such as the short 1.1km return walk to the Cockburn Range Lookout and Meteorite Valley Lookout, which features amazing views and stunning sunsets. Take an historic station tour and learn about life on the land in the Kimberley. You will be amazed at the geography on Home Valley Station, with the water falls, river and towering sandstone escarpments.
