Geoff guided at, and managed the fishing lodges, Barra Base and Jessie Camp on the Tiwi Islands for a Decade. He has accumulated over 20 years experience fishing and guiding in the Northern Territory.
“At HuntsNT we had been contemplating a new hunting package to offer our clients. We wanted to hunt a number of properties over a 5 to 7 day period, the HuntsNT “Hit & Run” hunting concept was conceived. However the NT is a large area of some 1.4 million square kilometres, so this required us to be highly mobile & self sufficient. How would we best achieve this objective? Multiple permanent camp sites are expensive and difficult to maintain, constant putting up & pulling down of tents is also very time consuming. It wasn’t rocket science to come up with a solution – camper trailers, but which one?
We set some benchmarks as to the campers being Australian designed & distributed, featuring quality materials, zips & double stitching to handle the heavy workload, large insect proof windows to allow cooling breezes & to keep the nasties out, very important in the Top End climate.
