Dryandra Woodland is a very unique place in Australia where you will be able to see many amazing animals. It is only about 2 hours from Perth and well worth the drive. Getting away from your daily activities is important now than then. Camping allows you to spend time alone or with your family.
Over 100 different species of birds live here. You will find plenty of places where you can sit for long periods of time and observe them. Make sure you bring along your bird watching equipment. Books to identify them and also binoculars will enhance the experience.
There are also more than 20 types of animals that you can observe while camping here. Some of them include the possum, kangaroo, numbat, and enchidna. There are guided tours around this area if you would like to take one. Then you can be sure to get to the right locations where those animals will be seen.
There is trail that is 25 kilometers long for you to walk down. If you have small children make sure you bring along an all terrain stroller to pus them in. As you explore the area you can stop at one of six locations. There you will be able to rest, have a picnic lunch, and even read information about animals and the history of that given area. It is a very educational experience.
Many of them will be those that you haven’t ever seen before. For example you may come into contact with the Barna Mia in the Dryandra Woodland area. This is a santauary where you will find many endangered animals. Even with efforts to help increase their numbers the future for them is uncertain. Seeing them now while you have the chance is important.
There are bush walks too that allow you to see plenty of types of plants and flowers. Some of them you won’t find anywhere else so that makes camping here a truly unique experience in a variety of ways. You can also learn about the history of those plants and flowers. Some of them have a very interesting story to tell.
The Congelin campground is where you can stay if you bring along your caravan or even pitch a rooftop tent. This is a great location that is close to everything you want to go explore. There are some cottages at Lions Village that you may decide you would like to stay at.
